What a charming piece of decor for your porch or in your home!

I imagine this styled in the following ways, but you could do whatever you'd like with it!

  • Cottage/cabin decor
  • Leaning on your porch as a winter display - it looks great with a wreath!
  • A fireplace mantle display with some birch logs on it
  • Lay it flat on a large entry way table or on a large harvest table to use as a centrepiece styled with greenery and berries
  • You could also lay it flat on a large dining table and use it as a raised table to create a second tier of sorts. It would be great for holiday gatherings as a raised surface for extra food dishes and would be quite the conversation piece!

I researched this piece and it looks like it was made by the Garton Toy Company out of Wisconsin, USA. It was made sometime between the mid 1940s to mid 1950s.

There is a small crack in one area of the wood and a chip off the wood in a different area. See photos but nothing impacts the look for decor!

46" long, 22" wide at the widest points, and 6" tall from the ground when laying flat.
