A gorgeous piece of architectural salvage! I purchased six of these at an estate sale and they were taken from an old farmhouse. They are sold individually but you can see a photo of all of them together at the end of the photo gallery.
From my research this appears to be oak wood and is antique from the beginning of the 1900s but could also be from the end of the 1800s as Tuttle & Bailey was founded in 1846. These vents would have been in the house for the heating and cooling system.
They make great decor pieces for displaying on shelves as background interest, hanging on walls as they are, or hang them on your wall and use to display small miniatures.
This specific piece is just under 14" by 14.25" and 1.25" thick.
Stamped: Tuttle & Bailey MFG. Co. Bridgeburg, Ontario (the stamp on this is very faded and can't be read well but since I can see the stamps on the other vents, I know what it says)
