It stays put on its own but can't open and close like a door.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pendulum is in the back of the clock but the back panel is missing. I have cleaned the clock as much as possible on the interior parts to get rid of the dust but there may still be some dust inside.
