Plug in the tree and flip the rotating wheel switch to turn it on. It works great! The bulb isn't included but you can purchase these bulbs quite easily at the dollar store in a multi-pack.

The purple bulbs and star are glued onto the tree. There is a very tiny chip at the edge of one branch but it is barely noticeable and blends in with the white of the tree. See photos.

Painted in 2005 (carved on the bottom).
