I'll be honest and say that when I originally found this at an estate sale, I had no clue what it was! The owner told me it was a vintage minnow bucket. You can use this bucket when fishing. I personally just love it as a rustic farmhouse / country cabin cottage piece of decor!
I think this would look beautiful displayed with some white peonies on a porch. You could open the lid, fill the bucket with water, and set the peonies inside. Or, you could put a small, potted plant in the mouth of the bucket. I'm sure there are lots of other great decor ideas but those are the ones that immediately came to my mind.
The bucket used to have a blue logo on it but it has mostly faded away; I think it might be from the 1950s. I found some similar ones online with the logo intact and it seemed to look like them.
Vintage minnow buckets sell for higher prices online, going way up to over $100! I'm just selling this at a reasonable price as I think it's an interesting piece for decor but you could also use it for fishing.
8" tall and 9.5" across. The handle comes 5.75" from the top of the bucket.
